The Texas Municipal Police Association is proud to announce that is was selected to provide training and technical support for the new CRASH system developed by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to electronically enter the new crash reporting forms, due to be released in 2010. The award is a 3-year, $1.4 million project. TMPA will develop a roll-call video for agencies to use so that officers will be familiar with common mistakes completing the new CR3 Crash form that will be released in early 2010. The video is scheduled to be released in December of this year and will be distributed to all Texas law enforcement agencies. TMPA also will be providing training on TxDOT’s new CRASH web-based interface that is scheduled to be operational in 2010. That system will allow officers who have completed CRASH system training to submit crash data to TxDOT electronically. We are excited to be involved in this project and having the opportunity to work with agencies on this important project.
