TMPA Wins!
August – 2021


We would like to share some of the recent legal successes TMPA has had for our members.  In this report, we will give the names of the attorneys  who represented our members but omit the names of the members involved.

Paul G. Aman – Paul G. Aman, Attorney at Law, P.C.
•  Member was placed under IA for excessive use of force. Upon review, member was exonerated, and the case was closed.
•  Member was placed under IA for a social media posting. After resigning, member was given a general discharge on F5. Upon appeal, F5 was amended to reflect an honorable discharge and the case was closed.
•  Member was placed under IA for dishonesty. Upon review, the IA was unfounded, and the case was closed.
•  Member was placed  under IA for unprofessionalism and bias.  Upon review, member was exonerated, and the case was closed.
•  Member was involved in an on-duty shooting. Upon review, the member was no billed by the grand jury and the case was closed.

Randall D. Moore – Law Offices of Randall D. Moore, PLLC
•  Member was given a General discharge on F5. After appeal, an administrative law judge ordered F5 be 
amended to reflect an honorable discharge.

Adam Muery – Attorney and Counselor at Law
•  Member was placed under IA for harassment and was going to receive a dishonorable discharge on F5. After appeal, member was allowed to resign before the IA was completed and member received an honorable discharge.
•  Members were involved in an on-duty shooting.  After  review, members were cleared by the prosecutor to return to regular duty and the case was closed.

Eric Perkins – Law Office of Eric Perkins
•  Member was placed under IA and received a letter of counseling for not making a report. Upon appeal, the letter was withdrawn, complaint was dismissed, and the case was closed.

Ray Thomas – Attorney at Law
•  Member was involved in an on-duty shooting. After review, the grand jury found  no  criminal conduct and the case was closed.
•  Member was placed under IA and given a 3-day suspension for use of force. After appeal, the 3- day suspension was reduced to 1-day and the case was closed.
