TMPA Wins!
August – 2020

We would like to share some of the recent legal successes TMPA has had for our members. In this report, we will give the names of the attorneys who represented our members but omit the names of the members involved.

Paul Aman – Paul Aman, Attorney at Law, P.C.

  • Member was placed under IA for inappropriate contact with fellow employee. After review, complaint was unfounded and case was closed.
    Kenneth Biggs – Biggs & Greenslade, P.C.
  • Member was terminated and given a Dishonorable Discharge on F-5 for violation of good conduct and duty to report traffic accident. Upon appeal, an Administrative Law Judge ordered F5 be amended to Honorable Discharge.

Gregory B. Cagle – Gregory Cagle, Attorney at Law, P.C.
  • Member was given a Dishonorable Discharge on F-5. Upon appeal, an Administrative Law Judge ordered F5 be amended to Honorable Discharge.
  • Member was given a Dishonorable Discharge on F-5. Upon appeal, a SOAH judge ordered F5 be amended to reflect an Honorable Discharge.

Chad Hyde – TMPA Staff Counsel
  • Member was placed under IA and demoted for insubordination. Upon appeal, a hearing examiner found the demotion to be without just cause and member returned to active duty with full compensation for time lost and restoration of other benefits lost.

Randall D. Moore – Law Offices of Randall D. Moore, PLLC
  • Member was placed under IA and given indefinite suspension for forging information on government document. Upon appeal, the indefinite suspension was reduced to 30-day suspension with untruthfulness and related charges unfounded. Member was reinstated with back pay, less 30 days.
  • Member was placed under IA and received a written reprimand for failure to perform. After review, reprimand was reduced to verbal counseling and case was closed.
  • Member was placed under IA and given 8 hr suspension for failure to supervise. After review, suspension was reduced to written reprimand and case was closed.

David Willis, Law Office of David P. Willis, PC

  • Member was placed under IA and on administrative leave for use of force incident. Upon appeal, Grand Jury no-billed member and case was closed.
