Training Overview: Patrol officers are uniquely positioned to identify and intervene in cases of human trafficking during patrol stops. This course provides patrol officers with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to identify and refer potential victims effectively. Covering both sex and labor trafficking, the training emphasizes trauma-informed,
victim-centered approaches that reflect the unique vulnerabilities of victims. Using case studies and evidence-based practices, participants will learn to recognize vulnerabilities and indicators, understand recruitment tactics, and respond appropriately to victim disclosures while maintaining trust and safety.
