This course is offered at $50 and is exclusively available to LAW ENFORCEMENT personnel.

The Practical Performance Pistol is designed for shooters ready to move beyond isolated fundamentals and into integrated, high-efficiency gun handling.

The focus is simple: run the gun at speed while maintaining accountability and accuracy.

Rather than revisiting basics at a surface level, this course refines and pressure-tests the core mechanics required to achieve high levels of speed and precision. Students will learn how to manage confirmation levels, apply efficient gun handling, and stack skills into seamless execution.

Core Performance Areas

·       Vision, Grip, and Trigger Manipulation - Refine the foundational pillars of shooting with emphasis on appropriate confirmation levels. Learn to apply only the visual information necessary for the difficulty of the shot — eliminating over-aiming and hesitation.

·       Transitions - Develop efficient target-to-target movement driven by vision, body mechanics, and predictive control of the gun.

·       Reloads

·       Increase efficiency and consistency while maintaining visual discipline and tempo.

·       Reactive Shooting - Respond to visual information in real time. Fire once sufficient confirmation is achieved — not before, not after.

·       Predictive Shooting - Build a refined index and understanding of how the gun behaves in recoil. Learn to trust visual inputs and gun tracking to maintain accuracy at higher speeds.

·       Movement - Incorporate dynamic movement without sacrificing balance, control, or accountability.

Skill Stacking & Integration

This course introduces structured skill stacking — combining isolated competencies into layered application drills. Students will integrate:

• Draw + confirmation management
• Transitions + recoil control
• Reloads under pressure
• Movement combined with predictive/reactive processes

The objective is to move from mechanical understanding to fluid execution.

You will leave with:

• A clearer understanding of your performance ceilings and ways to overcome them!
• Structured drills to continue improving independently.
• A defined pathway to increase speed without sacrificing accuracy.

Required Equipment

• Pistol with iron sights or red dot sight (mounted and zeroed)
• Ear and eye protection
• Duty-grade holster
• Minimum of 2 magazine pouches on belt
• Minimum 3 magazines (5 recommended)
• USPSA-style gear welcome
• Rain gear
• 350 - 500 rounds of ammunition recommended (more is encouraged)
