Critical Incidents Report for March 2025

In March, TMPA opened 7 case files for critical incidents Critical incidents are cases in which an officer’s actions, conduct, or omissions resulted in the death or serious bodily injury of a person; or could have resulted in such harm as a result of the officer intentionally discharging his or her firearm. These critical incidents involved members from various agencies throughout the state including: Arlington Police Department, Cooke County Sheriff’s Office, Frisco Police Department, Garland Police Department, Irving Police Department, Liberty Police Department, McKinney Police Department and include the following:


1. Bob Gorsky’s office assisted member who was involved in a pursuit that ended in death of suspect.

2. Attorney Lance Wyatt assisted member who found a deceased inmate during routine inmate check.

3. Member was involved in an in-custody death where member deployed less lethal, and subject died at hospital. Attorney Lance Wyatt assisted member.

4. Bob Gorsky’s office assisted member who was involved in an in-custody death.

5. Attorney Amanda Bolin assisted member who was involved in an in-custody death where subject committed suicide with member’s duty weapon.

6. Two other critical incidents involving an on-duty shooting. (Attorneys who assisted include: Bob Gorsky’s office)
