TMPA Wins!
May – 2021

We would like to share some of the recent legal successes TMPA has had for our members. In this report, we will give the names of the attorneys who represented our members but omit the names of the members involved.

Paul G. Aman – Paul G. Aman, Attorney at Law, P.C.
• Member was given a letter of reprimand for rudeness. Upon review, the disciplinary letter of reprimand was dismissed, and case was closed.
• Member was placed under IA for not being truthful to suspect. Upon review, member was exonerated, and the case was closed.
• Member was placed on administrative leave and then terminated for unprofessional conduct. Upon appeal, the termination was rescinded to a 2-day suspension without pay, probationary period with no appeal.
• Member was involved in an in-custody death. After review, member was exonerated from any wrongdoing and the case was closed.

Randall D. Moore – Law Offices of Randall D. Moore, PLLC
• Member was given a dishonorable discharge on F5. Upon appeal, F5 was amended to reflect an honorable discharge and the case was closed.
• Member was placed under IA and given a 5-day suspension for insubordination, poor judgement, conduct unbecoming and truthfulness. Upon appeal, the 5-day suspension was reduced to 2-day and the case was closed.

Eric Perkins – Law Office of Eric Perkins
• Members were involved in an on-duty shooting, resulting in a fatality. After review, the members were no billed by the grand jury and the case was closed.

John Snider – Lyon, Gorsky, Gilbert, LLP
• Members were involved in an in-custody death. After review, all officers were cleared, and the case was closed.
• Member was placed under IA and suspended for discourtesy and untruthfulness. After appeal, the suspension was rescinded, and the case was closed.
• Member was placed under IA and given a 2-day suspension for use of force during arrest. After appeal, the suspension was reduced to 1-day and the case was closed.
• Member was terminated for on-duty injury. After appeal, member was reinstated with full back pay and benefits and the case was closed.
• Member was placed under IA for harassment. Upon review, the complaint was unfounded, and the case was closed.

John Wolf – Wolf & Stallings, PLLC
• Member was placed under IA for failure to handle call properly. Upon review, the IA was dropped, and the case was closed.
• Member was involved in an on-duty shooting. Upon review, the member was cleared, and the case was closed.
