We would like to share some of the recent legal successes TMPA has had for our members. In this report, we will give the names of the attorneys who represented our members but omit the names of the members involved.
Paul G. Aman – Paul G. Aman,
Attorney at Law, P.C.
•Member was placed
under IA and demoted for conduct unbecoming. After appeal, the demotion was
overturned, and member returned to work.
•Member was placed
under IA for unprofessional conduct. Upon review, member was exonerated.
•Member was involved
in an in-custody death. Upon review member was cleared of any wrongdoing.
•Member was placed
under IA for mishandling a DWI case. Upon review, the charges were unfounded,
and the IA was dropped.
Kenneth Biggs – Biggs &
Greenslade, P.C.
•Member was involved
in a use of force incident that resulted in serious bodily injury. Upon review,
member was no billed by the grand jury.
Greg Cagle – Gregory Cagle,
Attorney at Law, P.C.
•Member was placed
under criminal investigation for assault. Upon review, member was no billed,
and the case was closed.
Zach Horn – Lyon, Gorsky
& Gilbert, L.L.P.
•Member was involved
in an on-duty shooting. Upon review, member was no billed, and the case was
closed.
Randall Moore – Law Offices
of Randall D. Moore, PLLC
•Member received a
dishonorable discharge on F5. After appeal, member’s F5 was amended to reflect
a general discharge and the case was closed.
•Member received a
dishonorable discharge on F5. After appeal, member’s F5 was amended to reflect
an honorable discharge.
•Member was placed
under IA for lying on the stand. Upon review, the untruthfulness charges were
unsustained, and member was kept off the Brady list.
•Member was placed
under IA for sexual harassment. Upon review, all charges were unfounded.
•Member was placed
under IA for inappropriate comments. Upon review, all charges were not
sustained.
•Member was placed
under IA for untruthfulness, time entry issues and dereliction of duty. Upon
review, the time entry issues, and untruthfulness charges were unfounded.
Member took 8-hour suspension for dereliction of duty, and the case was closed.
•Member received a
dishonorable discharge on F5. After appeal, member’s F5 was amended to reflect
a general discharge and the case was closed.
•Member was placed
under IA for misusing TLETS. Upon review, member received verbal counseling,
and the case was closed.

•Member was involved
in an on-duty shooting. Upon review, member was no billed, and the case was
closed.
